EASA EAA & CWIEME Partnership 2026

EASA Europe, Asia & Africa Chapter was proud to continue its partnership with CWIEME Berlin in 2026, further strengthening the visibility of the electromechanical service industry within one of the sector’s leading global events.

This year, EASA once again partnered with CWIEME Berlin through the Motor Repair & Maintenance by EASA initiative in Hall 25. The dedicated space provided a meeting point for EASA members, suppliers, OEMs, and service providers to connect, exchange knowledge, and discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the electromechanical industry.

A highlight of the programme was the EASA Talks, an informal format designed to explore key topics shaping the electromechanical service industry. Frédéric Beghain opened the session with an overview of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector. Edwin den Breejen shared practical insights into generator maintenance strategies and services. Johan De Coster and Kamil Tekin addressed the growing challenges surrounding the supply of strategic materials for the repair industry. Wojciech Betlej presented a case study showing how partial discharge monitoring helped prevent a generator breakdown, while Dr. Yali Feng explored advanced rapid repair solutions for high-voltage generators and motors to maximize asset life.

Together, these sessions created an open and engaging space to discuss real-world challenges, share technical expertise, and connect with peers from across the industry.

Beyond the Motor Repair & Maintenance by EASA initiative, EASA also contributed to the wider conference programme at the Electric Motor Forum. In his presentation, “Repair & Maintenance Industry Trends: Global Shifts and Future Outlook”, Frédéric Beghain explored the major trends shaping the future of the service industry, from technological developments and sustainability requirements to workforce challenges and evolving customer expectations.

This was followed by the panel discussion, “The New Dynamics of the Motor Repair & Maintenance Industry: From Efficiency to Electrification”, moderated by Frédéric Beghain and featuring Edwin den Breejen (Bakker Repair+Services), Flaviano Santiá de Carvalho (WEG), Johan De Coster (Coil Partners), and Tracy Queen (ICC International). Together, they explored how electrification, energy efficiency requirements, digitalization, and artificial intelligence are reshaping service strategies, business models, workforce requirements, and customer expectations across the industry. The discussion highlighted both the challenges and opportunities facing service providers as they adapt to a rapidly changing market.

We were pleased to welcome many visitors throughout the exhibition who took the time to learn more about EASA and engage with our members. Sincere thanks go to all speakers, panellists, participating members, and the CWIEME Berlin team for their continued partnership and collaboration to strengthen the voice of the electromechanical service industry.
