A Proud Moment for Our Chapter: Mathis Menzel Appointed EASA International Chairman

The EASA Europe, Asia & Africa Chapter is proud to congratulate Mathis Menzel on his appointment as Chairman of the EASA International Board.

This is a remarkable achievement, and we could not be prouder to see one of our own taking on this important leadership role. Mathis has been an active and valued contributor to EASA for many years, generously sharing his expertise, supporting technical initiatives, and helping strengthen collaboration across our global community.

In his inaugural address, Mathis reflected on his first EASA Convention 17 years ago, where he was welcomed as a young member from Germany. That experience shaped his view of EASA, not simply as an association, but as a community where knowledge is shared, friendships cross borders, and members genuinely help one another succeed.

These values are captured in the theme of his Chairmanship, “Stronger Together.” Recognising that companies around the world face many of the same challenges, from attracting skilled people and embracing new technologies to navigating sustainability and an increasingly complex business environment, Mathis called on members to learn from one another and build even stronger connections across regions.

For the Europe, Asia & Africa Chapter, this appointment carries special significance as one of the few Europeans to serve as EASA International Chairman, Mathis’ election reflects the truly global nature of our association and the growing contribution to EASA’s international leadership.
