EASA Karsten Moholt Exceptional Achievement Award 2025

Jannes Plietker from Menzel Elektromotoren (Germany) has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the EASA Karsten Moholt Exceptional Achievement Award.

Each year, the EASA Europe, Asia & Africa Chapter highlights the talent and dedication of young professionals under 35 who are making a real difference in the electromechanical service industry.

After careful consideration of all nominations, the committee chose Jannes Plietker for his remarkable work in partial discharge (PD) testing on high-voltage motor insulation systems and cable specimens. His research focuses on reducing PD activity, a key factor in improving the reliability and service life of high-voltage motors. This effort represents a valuable contribution both technically and practically for our industry.

Jannes’s nomination was further supported by outstanding letters of recommendation from external collaborators, emphasizing the significance and quality of his achievements.
