Dear EASA members and friends,
We are just back from another successful EASA European & World Convention in Valencia, with a record registration: 86 participants from almost 20 countries ! From the comments I have received, the participants were very happy to attend and to share Technical and Business Knowledge for Growth. In the next newsletter we will give more details about that convention but I want again to thank all participants and all speakers for their very active contributions. I would like to take this opportunity also to congratulate Michael Mitten, CEO of Houghton International in the UK who was installed as EASA European & World Chapter Vice President.
This year’s recipient of the Karsten Moholt Award was Oliver Semmler from my Company, Menzel Elekromotoren although I have no involvement in the selection process I am very proud of his achievement and I would urge all members to submit employees for the 2018 award and honour two great stalwarts of our Chapter. Attached are some photographs of the event.
September was a busy month for our association with a very interesting workshop in Bergen on Internet of Things related to our industry and our members. Many companies have decided to work together on this topic and specifically around Data Sharing and Predictive Maintenance. If you are interested to join this group or if you wish to receive information relating to its work, please contact our EASA European & World Chapter General Manager, Frederic Beghain : email@example.com
Frederic Beghain also attended the EEMODS 2017 (Energy Efficiency Motor Driven Systems) meeting in Rome. EASA’s International’s CEO Linda Raynes and members of our Technical Team also attended to present the EASA Accreditation Programme. Many regulators around the world were attending this conference and were interested to learn more about our association and our unique workshop accreditation for Energy Efficiency and Reliability repairs, with already 100 workshops EASA accredited in the world. Our industry is getting a second big opportunity with the important focus and efforts on Motor Systems.
All the Best,
Mathis Menzel, President, EASA European & World Chapter
